So you want to know about me, eh? Well, alrighty then.
I'm not going to tell you everything but I will tell you some things!
I'm from Waverly, Ohio and I am a Sophomore at The
Ohio State University. My major is Animal Science and my minor is Life Science. I'm not totally sure
of my career path, but I want do to something related to agriculture and animals. I would really like to be a 4-H Extension
Educator, and if I do choose this path I will change my major to Agricultural Education and minor in Animal Science and Crop
Science. I'm also thinking about avian research as a career because it really interests me, but there are not any jobs
for it near my home, so I would have to move away. Right now I'm not sure that that would be something I'd want to do.
At Ohio State I am in the Poultry Science Club, MANRRS (Multiculutral Students
in Natural Resources and Related Sciences), Shades of Animal Science, College of Food, Agriculture, and Envrionmental Science
Student Council, and the Ohio State College Democrats.
Most importantly, I am a Sister in Agriculture.
I became an active member in Sigma Alpha Professional Agriculture Sorority - Alpha Chapter. Sigma Alpha began at OSU
in 1977 and I am very proud to be a member of what has now become a national sorority. I never though I would join a
sorority, but I am so glad that I did. Sigma Alpha is even going to be my new home next year...I'm so excited!!
The sisters that I have are the best and the opportunities available to me through Sigma Alpha will be innumerable.
I'm going to go to the National Convention in Buffalo, NY on October 14-16. I'm really excited about that!
I split my time between school
and home, usually coming home on the weekends. I do this because I still have animals at home that need care so I try
to help out my family since they help me out with my animals. This fall I'm moving to Lucasville to my stepfather's
164 year old farm house. I really like it down there. But there's no place like home! This upcoming year
will have a lot of changes, but I think it will also make my life a little easier.
When I'm not at school I stay pretty active. This year was my last and 14th
year in 4-H. This is an exciting feat to complete 14 years in 4-H, but it also makes me sad that I won't be in 4-H anymore.
I have been awarded with the State Achievement Award in the area of Poultry and Rabbits and I will travel to the National
4-H Congress this November. I am really excited about going on the trip...it's even free! I was also selected
this year to represent 4-H on the Ohio State Fair Junior Fair Board. I have already served the first year of my
two year term. The JFB was unlike anything I have experienced and was a great way to learn new things. I really
enjoyed my time at the fair, and I wish I could go back!!
I keep very busy, but when I have time I love to
do the following: "go to China", learn more about poultry, listen to music, spend time outside, go thrift shopping
and bargain hunting, and play the trombone. I don't like to be doing nothing. I like to learn new things
and broaden my horizons. I don't want to be bored with life.

China One: fried cheese wontons,
egg drop soup, and sweet and sour bananas. There's no better way to enjoy a trip back to Waverly than a meal at
China with your best friends.
Chipotle: I never knew I was missing
out! It is spectacular! Unfortunately, I became a bit burnt out on it after spring quarter - I'll have to ration
it!
Jimmy John's: Free smells and serious
delivery is great but the Country Club is even better! mmmmmmmmmm
Pizza Hut's breadsticks mmmm....breadsticks
Cars/Trucks
Hummer
(H1-the ORIGINAL): My dream machine!
Mazda RX-8:
Rebirth of the rotary engine in the US. I am so excited, I want one so bad! Chevy Trucks: The most dependable, longest
lasting truck.
MINI Cooper: A street legal go-kart woooo!!!!!!!! No,
seriously folks, I want one of these to replace the Nova if it ever bites the dust. Very economical.
**Oh yeah, I drive a 1986 Chevrolet Nova. No, not a sweet
Nova. The one you're thinking about was made in 1974. The 80's Nova's are like little cracker boxes with wheels,
literally. But mine was free and all I have to pay is the gas. It gets me where I need to go and no one will ever
want to steal it. I'm hoping that this summer I may get a new car. However, I don't see it as a reality.
I don't think my Nova is ever going to die, so I will keep driving it until it does.**
